New reform proposals being considered by the Italian government do not include a wealth tax, Junior Treasury Minister Luigi Casero said on Wednesday.

Casero was speaking ahead of a cabinet meeting to discuss new reform measures intended to shore up confidence in Italy's battered public finances following days of market turmoil.
